Eric Abbatiello Captures 1,000th Lifetime Win

Freehold, NJ —- Eric Abbatiello captured lifetime win number 1,000 at Freehold Raceway on Thursday. In the third race on the card, he pulled away from the field guiding Talented Jon to reach the milestone.
Abbatiello, who began his career in 1997, enjoyed his best years in 2007 with 167 wins and 2008 for money won with $1,673,451.
Eric’s father, Carmine was inducted into the Harness Racing Hall of Fame in 1985. He recorded over $50 million in career earnings and 7,000 career wins.
Live racing resumes at Freehold Raceway on Friday, May 20th with post time at 12:30pm.
