MAN WINS FREEHOLD HARNESS HANDICAPPING CONTEST
FREEHOLD, NJ – Reid Wissner, of Manalapan, New Jersey defeated 43
fellow handicappers and won the Freehold Raceway Harness Racing Handicapping
Contest, which was held on Monday, January 15.
Norton amassed a bankroll of $ 393 to take the top prize of $ 2,200.
Finishing second was John Golden of Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania with a
bankroll of $ 355. That was good
enough for second place prize money of $ 1,100.
Finishing third was Nicholas Fazzolari of Colts Neck, New Jersey.
He took the third place prize of $ 528. with a bankroll of $ 308.
Sal Bottone of Westport, Connecticut, finished fourth ($ 288 bankroll, $ 352
prize) while there was a tie for fifth between Robert LaConte of West Patterson,
NJ and Raymond Burnett of Monmouth Junction, NJ ($ 263 bankroll, $ 110 prize
each).
In addition their winnings, Wissner and Golden gained entry
into the 2007 National Harness Handicapping Championship at the Meadowlands in
April.
