FREEHOLD ANNOUNCES LATE CLOSER
SPRING SERIES

FREEHOLD, NJ – Freehold Director of Racing Pete Koch announced the dates today for the 2007 Late Closer Spring Series.  The series includes “The Windshield Wiper” for for 3 year old horses and geldings, “The Swing Back” for 3 year old fillies, “The Stewart Hanover”, “The Frank Rubinetti Memorial” for trotters and “The State Time”. 

With the exception of the Rubinetti, all races will have two legs with the top eight money earners in the series eligible to the finals.

The dates for The Windshield Wiper are Friday, May 4 (1^st leg), Friday, May 18 (2^nd leg) and Saturday, May 26 ($ 40,000 est. Final). 

The Swing Back dates are Thursdays, May 10 and May 17 with the $ 35,000 (est.) final set for Saturday, May 26.

The Stewart Hanover with Wednesday dates of March 28 and April 4, ending with the
$ 12,000 (est.) final on April 11.

The $ 30,000 (est.) Frank Rubinetti Memorial Trot will be run Friday, April 27.

The State Time will be run on Wednesdays, April 18 and 25 with the $ 12,000 (est.) final on May 2.   

Nominations for the series, including the nominating fee are due March 15, 2007.
