PSYCHIC CREDIT, ROSE RUN
INVADER TAKE SPLIT FRANK RUBINETTI MEMORIAL AT FREEHOLD

Schnittker guided Psychic Credit to victory in the first division of the second
annual Frank Rubinetti Memorial at Freehold on Friday. The open trot for 3 year olds, with a purse of $13,000, is named in honor of the long-time owner of harness horses who passed
away in 2005.
Psychic
Credit was aided by breaks by two of the other trotters in the six-horse race
and won with a time of 2:00.3. Altered
States (3-1 morning line) with John Campbell broke at the quarter and Man On
Fire (9-2) broke at the start. Psychic
Credit took advantage and paid $31.20, 9.20, 4.20.
Finshing second was Sweet Daddy Siki (Anthony Morgan) while Super Star K
(Charlie Norris) was third.
In
the second division, Rose Run Invader was impressive in victory, winning with a
time of 1:57.4. Driven by Andy Miller and trained by Ron Randall, Rose Run
Invader paid $4.40, 3.40, 2.20. Finishing
second was Dean Hoffman with Marcus Johansson, while Swissonian, driven by David
Miller finished third.
Psychic
Credit is eligible for the $200,000(est.) Dexter Cup Trot to be contested at
Freehold on May 12 with eliminations set for May 5.
Rose Run Invader would have to pay a $ 25,000. supplemental fee to enter
the Dexter Cup.
Mr.
Rubinetti was 78 at the time of his passing. Over a span of 30 years, he owned
more than 60 standardbred horses, including the 1997 three-year-old Trotting
Filly of the Year, No Nonsense Woman. Many of the horses campaigned by Mr.
Rubinetti were owned in partnership with Hall of Fame driver/trainer, Jim
Doherty.
A
longtime resident of the Garden State, Rubinetti was born in Italy and resided
in Orange, NJ before moving to Union, NJ some 43 years ago.
