MANZI WINS 20TH
DRIVING TITLE AT FREEHOLD FREEHOLD, NJ - - The 2007-2008 meeting at Freehold Raceway drew to a close on Saturday. Cat Manzi was honored for winning his 20th driving title at Freehold. For the meet, Manzi had 293 wins in 1,151 starts. Manzi had two wins on the day, bringing his lifetime win total to 12,981. Finishing second was Pat Berry with 236 wins in 1,506 starts. Carmine Fusco and Chris Marino tied for leading trainer with 49 wins. Fusco was leading by two wins going into the day, but Marino tied him with wins in the first and last races on the day. Freehold will remain open for day and night simulcasting with live racing returning on August 7th. |
