FREEHOLD ANNOUNCES FALL LATE
CLOSER SERIES

FREEHOLD, NJ – Freehold Director of Racing Pete Koch announced the dates today for the 2007 Fall Late Closer Series.  The series includes “The Gaitway Farm” for 2 year old colts and geldings, “The Showplace Farm” for 2 year old fillies, “The Crystal Brook” for pacers, “The White Birch” for 3 year old colts and geldings, and “The Magical Acres” for 3 and 4 year old trotters. 

All races will have two legs with the top eight money earners in the series eligible to the finals.

The dates for The Gaitway Farm are Friday, Nov. 2 (1^st leg), Friday, Nov. 9 (2^nd leg) and Friday, Nov. 16 ($ 20,000 est. Final). 

The Showplace Farm dates are Thursdays, Nov. 1 and Nov. 8 with the $ 20,000 (est.) final set for Thursday, Nov. 15.

The Crystal Brook dates are Tuesday, Nov. 6 (1^st leg), Wednesday, Nov. 14 (2^nd leg) with the $ 15,000 (est.) final set for Friday, Nov. 24.

The White Birch with Saturday dates of Nov. 3 and Nov. 10, ending with the
$ 25,000 (est.) final on Nov. 17.

The Magical Acres will be run on Wednesdays, October 31 and Nov. 7 with the $ 25,000 (est.) final on Nov. 14.   

Nominations for the series, including the nominating fee are due October 15, 2007.
