FREEHOLD ANNOUNCES LATE CLOSER
WINTER SERIES

FREEHOLD, NJ ņ Freehold Director of Racing Pete Koch announced the dates today for the 2007 Late Closer Winter Series.  The series includes ėThe Snowmanî for horses and geldings, ėThe Snow Bunnyî for fillies and mares, and ėThe Snow Showerî for trotters. 

All races will have two legs with the top eight money earners in the series eligible to the finals.  The finals have an estimated purse of $11,000.

The dates for The Snowman are Tuesday, December 26 (1^st leg), Monday, January 1 (2^nd leg) and Tuesday, January 9 (Final). 

The Snow Bunny dates are Wednesdays, December 27 and January 3 with the final set for January 10.

New for the series this year is The Snow Shower with Thursday dates of December 28 and January 4, ending with the final on January 11.

Nominations for the series, including the $150 nominating fee are due December 18, 2006.
