Ten race card kicks off 41 day summer fall meet.  Free T-shirt with paid Freehold program (while supplies last). Special Opening Day lunch buffet in the Renaissance Dining Room for $12.95.

Holiday Racing - Labor Day

Special holiday racing on Labor Day - Monday, September 5th.  Hot Dogs and Small Sodas are 50 cents each. Drawings for season parking passes.  Meet and greet driver Harry Landy(11:30am).

Freehold Raceway to Open Thursday for Summer/Fall Meet

FREEHOLD, NJ - - Freehold Raceway, America’s oldest parimutuel harness track, will resume live harness racing action on Thursday, when the raceway opens for its 41-day summer/fall meet.
Races for New Jersey sired horses are well represented on the schedule. Renowned events such as the Lou Babic final ($104,800), the Harold Dancer final ($60,000), the Helen Smith final ($65,000), the Lou Babic filly final ($60,500), the Marion Dancer filly final ($50,725) and the Charles I. Smith final ($75,000) are on the schedule. Also, the Green Acres series features eight ($25,000 est.) divisional finals and there will be four open divisions of the New Jersey Futurity held at Freehold during the fall.
On Opening Day, t-shirts will be given away with purchase of Freehold program (while supplies last).
Freehold will conduct live racing three days per week, Thursday through Saturday. Special holiday racing will be offered on Labor Day.
First post for the meet will be 12:30 p.m.
