Freehold Begins Amateur Trotting Series Saturday

Freehold Raceway has announced a three-leg trotting series for amateur drivers, kicking off this Saturday (November 30).
The first two legs will be held on November 30 and December 7, with a purse of $7,500 each. The final will be contested on December 14, for a purse of $15,000. Horses must compete in at least one leg to be eligible for the final.
All horses who competed in an amateur race in 2019 are automatically eligible for this series. For all other horses, the conditions are non-winners of $6,000 in their last five starts, or optional claiming tag of $15,000.
